In conjunction with the Carolina Makers art exhibition, the South Carolina State Museum hosted its first ever Farm to Gallery dinner nestled in the middle of the exhibition gallery. This one-of-a-kind dining experience celebrated craft at its finest and Copper Horse was honored to be a part of this special event.
Guest dined on locally-grown foods, sipped locally-sourced beverages—all surrounded by the masterful works of South Carolinian artisans and craftspeople. With the kind help from the folks at Rosso Trattoria and Bourbon, Copper Horse featured a Bulle Rock Gin cocktail.
Our good friend James Martin, a.k.a. TheSipologist.com, is an Atlanta area film maker we meet a couple of years back during the Indy Grits Film Festival here in Columbia. His latest project has a direct appeal to all of us in the spirits industry...as well as, those who simply like to enjoy a good cocktail.
The New Orleans Sazerac is a documentary which explore the evolution of the famous New Orleans Sazerac cocktail from the early 1800’s through modern day with historical experts, contemporary bartenders, and even the father of the cocktail himself: Antoine Peychaud.
There are so many questions surrounding the Sazerac - Was it America's first cocktail? Why has it changed so much over time? How do contemporary interpretations measure up?
We are proud to support James in his latest endeavor and hope you will also help bring this story to the screen. For more information please visit The New Orleans Sazerac's Seed & Spark page.
Copper Horse was proud to be the title drink sponsor for this year's 2015 CMA Gala. The Gala is the museum’s largest fundraiser of the year and raises critical funds to support their mission to provide outstanding art and arts education for lifelong learning and community enrichment for all.
This year's Gala was a trip back in time to the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair featuring international cuisine, extraordinary décor, and entertainment by The Root Doctors, the USC Dance Company, and Extreme Illusions & Escapes starring Josh Knotts & Lea.
Copper Horse's Old Mill Vodka was the featured spirit and we hosted the Gala's specialty cocktail lounge. Big thanks to Kristian Niemi (or Neimi) from Bourbon, Josh Streetman from Motor Supply Company and Ray Martinez from Arkos Grill for supplying specialty drinks for the event.
